finalist mp10 !
Okay, as promised here i am, to blog again. I am supposed to be studying for my UT test tomorrow, but nothing seemed to going in my head at the moment. So, i guess i shall not waste more time since I knew im not gonna do that well for the module anyway. So next please! ALright, so where do i start now? Okay, as you guys should probably know by now, Chuchu Datuk Merah are finally in the finals of Mega Perdana 2010, the biggest dikir barat competition ever. The fact that Tok says that we are the first batch of Chuchu's to ever going to grace the Perdana stage(Tok says that before this, the old CDM batch has never been in the Mega Perdana Finals ever before) makes it even more special, and sweet. For achieving to be in the top8 finalist of Mega Perdana 2010, that has to be my biggest achievement of all time. Personally, I was so relieved and was jumping for joy when Chuchu's name was the first to be announced that managed to go through. Happy giler beb part result tengah announced. Initially starting out in 2006, and after three attempts(MP2006, MP2008 and then MP2010), finally chuchu succeeded this time.Like i said in my previous posts, we did not have the luck during MP08, and I seriously wanted this much more than anyone else. Seriously, I wouldnt see my life as a dikir barat activist as 'mission accomplished' if I never have the chance to be in MP finals. Nothing beats being in the finals, not even winning 1st 2nd or even 3rd in other dikir barat competitions. Thats how much being in the Finals means to me. But, something just had to happen to spoil the whole mood on the actualy day. As happy as I was, i was equally dissapointed with how WE did up on stage, during the semis. It seemes like everything just had to go wrong on that day. From the Tok Juare, and then the Tok Karut, to the percussions and even us, the Awok-Awok were not 'on form' on that particular day. Although, we are still in the finals, i have to say, last sunday semifinal was the worst performance i have ever played for chuchu. And just imagine how i'd must have felt after the whole thing has ended. sucks big time. I have to be honest here, the results do not lie.  So just what went wrong on that day? I have aboslutely no clue to that. it's no use to point fingers at anyone, what's done is done. Everyone has to be blamed for our standings, and without any individual nominations. And chuchu's, please realise that if it is based on the Semifinals marks only, we would NEVER have made it to the finals. Which would only means another 2 more years of waiting to have another shot at it. This is a fact, Let's be honest to ourself.  Thank god, that this year's MP, the total marks of saringan and semifinal will be added together to determine the top 8 finalist. Which basically means, Chuchu had made it by the skin of the teeth. The only reason we made it was because of our Saringan marks. Just like what our Tok says: "results dh pun keluar. CDM duduk tempat ke10 tanpa markah saringan dicampur. Setelah dicampur, CDM duduki tempat terakhir dengan tanpa calon individu. Terima Kasih markah saringan!" I didnt like how it ended that night. I wanted us to be among there with the Giants, and fully deserved our placing in the finals. Knowing that we had to rely on something to get to where we want, I do not feel satisfied. To even rub more salt into the wound, people has been criticising us on our performance during the Semis. and this goes on and on and on.. The few positives that i can take from this whole episode is that, no matter what people say, we are still in the Finals. Even if that meant, needing our Saringan marks to scrape us through, we still had to put in our best effort to get those points and 4the placing, didnt we? Also, with whatever that has happened, i am confident enough that chuchu's are going to bounce back during the Finals. I know my bros would be more than geared up to correct what's wrong, and to prove those doubters that we are able to stand up after falling down. To my dearest bros, let's make this a lesson learnt. It is really okay. We just have to keep holding on and to up our performance this time round. Let's take all those criticism as a motivation to do even much much much better this time! Yang penting, once tok dah activate, jom ramai ramai turun training for Finals!
